Bland Simpson :

Bland Simpson; Red Clay Rambler, Coastal Cohort, Playwright, Author, Director Of Creative Writing at UNC-Chapel Hill, and now solo artiste'.

25 years ago Bland Simpson went into Reflection Studios with Don Dixon (producer and bass) and an assorted cast of characters that included Red Clay Ramblers Tommy Thompson, Mike Craver, Bill Hicks, Jack Herrick, and Jim Watson, Rod Abernethy and Scott "No D" Davison of Arrogance, Tommy Goldsmith and Jimbeau Walsh of The Contenders, gospel legend Dottie Peoples, and some guy named Tim. What came out of these sessions is now finally being released as Follow You All Over The World.

Included on Follow You All Over The World are the title track, later recorded by Marti Jones for her Unsophisticated Time album, and "Wind In The Trees", which showed up on Marti Jones' Used Guitars album, many others, all bearing Bland's inimitable stamp, and 2 tracks from The Southern States Fidelity Choir recorded in 1974 at The Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill.
